Rectangle tool does not work properly showing wrong selection of screen (MAC)

My rectangle clipping tool suddenly stopped working properly. If I select a part on the screen I always end up with the right bottom part of the screen as the screen shot. What to do? I use the clipping tool extensively and it is really frustrating.

Great news! The Evernote Helper/Clipping Tool now works perfectly since the update to Version 5.5.1. What a relief! I use the clipping tool multiple times per day with my work. It's extremely useful. Glad to be operating as normal..

Yesterday I noticed the same thing happening when I attempted to clip any screen! This behavior just started about 1 - 2 days ago. I have the latest Evernote for Mac App and am running Mavericks. I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling Evernote yet. Wanted to see if anyone else started experiencing this issue.

I've been seeing the same issue for well over a month now. Seems to still be a bug in the new version. Running same as everyone else here. My workaround at the moment is to clip fullscreen then edit it in Skitch. Not the most productive way to do it.
