(Archived) Request: Ability to put pods of information anywhere on the page

I love using Evernote and use it almost everyday between work and home.  Before moving into Evernote, I used that competitor product from Microsoft and one of the things I really miss in Evernote is the ability to start a pod of information anywhere on the page.  For example, I created a project template that had the basic info at the top left of the page and I created a pod on the top right for info on current status.  I was able to create pods of info anywhere on the page rather than have a single page to work with.   It felt more like a real notebook where I could jot something up in the corner and still use the rest of the page.  

 

Is there any chance that something like that might end up in Evernote someday?

Evernote does not publish their roadmap.  But I doubt this will be coming any time soon, if ever.
