stm27 0 Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 I've been using Evernote in my research to (among other things) capture relevant pages from books available in Google's book preview (as in, for instance: http://preview.tinyurl.com/cg7dwn). Evernote, for some reason, doesn't seem to recognize the image as text, though. Anyone understand this? Link to comment
engberg 89 Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 I think it depends on the format of the image once it arrives at Evernote.If the note contains the image in GIF, JPEG, or PNG format, it should be recognized for search. If the note contains a PDF document based on that scan on Google, we won't (currently) process the text within that PDF.There was also a bit of a backlog in our image processing service over the last day or so, which may have affected you.The backlog should be gone by now, so you should be able to search for images in your account that were added in the last day or so.
