(Archived) how to search within a note?

osx 10.8.5 en 5.3.0

 

when I search all notes for the word dog I get one note. Within that note, nothing is highlighted, even though the word dog is in the note. Is that word supposed to be highlighted?  Second question, I cant find the button to conduct a search for a word within the note, although that button probably is hiding in plain view.  Where is it?  Thanks

i found the way to search in a note.  chat support told me the highlighting issue "might" be fixed by an upgrade.  based on reading this forum a few times a week since the latest  upgrade and and its predecessor, i am staying away from these upgrades until en resolves the countless problems. i can live without the highlighting

Highlighting works fine for me in 5.4.3.

 

For searching within a note use cmd+F
