I have several notes with tiff-files stored in evernote. Evernote can not display tiff's. That's ok, it's just a store. You see a box with three icons. What is not okay is that when you hover with your mouse over the left most icon you see a pop-up displaying: press ctrl-click to view options. Since there is no clue as to what this does and I want to know I ctrl-click. What you expect to see is a menu. Instead when you do so the tiff disappears and I'm left with a png three times the size of the tiff. Aaaargggh. The original tiff is gone. No undo possible. Data gone. Very very very very bad.
So what's going on. Could not find anything on google or on the forum. Or in the log file for that matter. No mention of conversion. You only see the unwanted png appear. But where is my tiff-original? Does anybody have a clue?
I downloaded the original from the evernote cloud. Lucky i'm premium user. But I still don not like automated conversions which destroy original data. How do I get rid of this unwanted behavior? What is going on.
I tried outside to replicate this outside evernote. Maybe an unwanted link as in "open with". But I could not find anything. So I think evernote is the problem.
