csonnic 1
In the process of trying out Dispatch for IOS and sending an email from my Gmail account to Evernote, Evernote seems to be totally choked up on its sync. I force quit and even rebooted my Mac.The sync symbol is turning, but the barber pole is not. When selecting sync status, it's says uploading note changes and Type Ahead Search Indexing but again, with a motionless barber pole. How do I get out of the stuck sync cycle? I just went on my iPhone into Evernote and deleted a note. All I get now is "Loading" and that's it. Could it be a problem with the server? Force Quitting Evernote on my Mac doesn't seem to do it. Restarting Evernote gets caught in that cycle again. The web version seems okay. Link to comment
csonnic 1
The web version on my iPad is acting real strange. Not very encouraging after just paying my annual fee for premium use. I'll have to come back to it tomorrow hoping it's sorted out. Link to comment
csonnic 1
Still all choked up this morning. I suppose this is going to require a reinstall unless someone can advise me otherwise. I sure hope this isn't going to be a pattern for using Evernote. I've kind of jumped in with both barrels so to speak as suggested by someone. When this started a I was also dragging lots of Word and PDF files into a particular notebook. They weren't large in size at all. Link to comment
C6REW 416
Hi, I am guessing that your Mac version has got itself into a problem. I strongly suggest you don't use the iPad, web version as it is not very good at all. But what is the iPad software version like? After checking out the iPad software version and confirming the Mac web version is OK, I would definitely remove using Revo Uninstaller (I think it works with Mac but have never used it myself) then install again. Hope this helps. Best regards Chris Link to comment
csonnic 1
OK. I uninstalled Evernote, reinstalled, let it do it's thing of syncing with Evernote online, processing. Everything looked good. Started to drag over a few notes (PDF's and Word). "Updating note changes" has been running for several minutes now in my Sync Status with the progress bar in the bottom left twirling away but it doesn't complete. This is getting annoying. Are you only able to drag over one note/file at a time? Do you have to wait for a sync to finish before dragging over more notes? Link to comment
C6REW 416
Hi, Can you confirm that you used Revo un-installer or similar to completely un-install Evernote? Best regards Chris Link to comment
csonnic 1
I used App Zapper for Mac and, yes, every bit of Evernote was uninstalled. I just tried cancelling the sync and now it's stuck on cancelling. I tried quitting and was given the option to quit without the sync completing. Still won't quit. Will have to force-quit now. csonnic 1
I just was adding pdfs individually with no problems until I dragged over an 84MB pdf with embedded images. The sync progress continues as before and I think this one is the culprit. Is there any reason why Evernote can't handle a pdf this size with images embedded? And if it is locking up on me, is there any way of resetting it so I don't have to uninstall and reinstall? Link to comment
csonnic 1
OK. I think I've got it. I deleted the offending pdf, force quit Evernote, logged out and then back in and Evernote is functional once again. I'd still like to get the low down on importing such a pdf. Shouldn't be a big deal. Link to comment

I have avoided attachments for a while now. http://www.christopher-mayo.com/?p=127In recent days, I am experimenting with some, but frankly speaking, I think I may end up back with just text. More on that some other time.Make sure you are aware of the limits. Are you Free or Premium?http://www.christopher-mayo.com/?p=169A PDF that size should not be a problem in a Premium account. If you are Premium and still having the problem, and you don't mind sharing it, send me a private message with a link and I will try to put it into my account and see what happens. Link to comment
