Changes to a note on a seperate window do not save if the main window is also open

I wrote the whole thing and closed it thinking it would sync, which is how I always do it. But this time I had to work on a seperate window and the main window was open the whole time because, well, why not. It didn't save, and it synced WRONG, so I lost 800 words. Thanks.

A little more information might produce some more constructive suggestions,  but I just set up a note,  opened it in a separate window and closed it with changes - which are safely synced back to the main app.  Seems to work for me..
