I think it would be great to have a option so a sub-tag inherits its parent tags

eg

Transport -> Plane -> 747

When you set the 747 tag it automatically Inherits Plane and Transport parent tags,

therefore, notes under 747 appear in Plane and Transport tag views

I know you can do this manually, its a time thing really

I like this idea.

Another route could be to add an option when we are browsing tags which would "Show all notes in subtags". This would make the heirachical tags more powerful.

I achieve a similar result by using a special tag names convention.

So I have the "funstuff" tag, and a subtag called "funstuff.dilbert".

I know it may occasionally kill some of the advantages of the tagging concept, but if used with moderation it is still useful, at least in my case.
