(Archived) Where are my Notes? Hidden? Gone? What?

Yesterday I installed the new version of Evernote for iOS7, ie the uber green version.

Now I cannot see 99% of my Notes.  The just don't show up, with no way to make them show up.  Shown below are two screenshots showing the list of Notes on Mac OSX and the list on iOS7.  Two days ago on iOS these two lists looked identical.

Before (Mac OSX) --> http://bit.ly/1as6Y8s

After (iOS7) --> http://bit.ly/19WATTo

Look, I think I know why this is happening.  The new version is likely filtering all Notes older than X number of months.  And I'm sure you know about the problem/issue/feature.

However, I just installed the update version 7.1.1 and you still haven't addressed this issue.  Which leads me to believe you see this as a "feature".  I strongly disagree.  At the very minimum you could put in a way to recover these Notes within the app.  For example, see image below showing a Notebook called "Notes" which has 175 notes on MacOSX and has 0 on iOS7.   I believe I can recover these by editing/touching them on the desktop to make them more recent, but why?  I need a way to find these notes on the iOS7 app or its a productivity and usability train wreck.

How do I Recover? --> http://bit.ly/19WEZen

Please fix asap, and notice the many negative reviews you are getting on the App Store.

Hi. I'd guess the first step would be an install/reinstall of the app. If that doesn't help, then I'd file a support ticket.

Hi @Smitter. Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the app. We did not intentionally implement anything to hide notes before a certain date. If you are unable to see all of your notes for some reason, please get in touch with our tech support team. They will get you sorted out.

Same thing exactly is happening to my Iphone. It seems all the notes beyond a certain date are gone. I tried to set all the notebooks as offline but it did not help. Anyway if edit the notes or I just move them form one notebook to another they appear on the Iphone. All the notes are still visible on the desktop (Mac) and on the web without any problem. The issue is just with the Ios app.

I've never heard of EN filtering by a date.  Did you have an internet connection when you were doing this?  Do you have a premium account?  If the answers were no/no, then it's probably b/c EN needs to have an internet connection to call up the notes.  It will cache recent notes but just like a web browser cache, the cache will get cleared if the space is needed for something else.

If you did not have an internet connection & you do have a premium account, were the notes fully sync'd down to your iOS device before you tried to pull them up w/o an internet connection?

If your iOS device had an internet connection when you were trying to do this, then this is not the issue.

@BurgersNFries Yes for sure I had an internet connection on my iPhone.  Had just finished downloading the update, etc.  That was definitely not the issue.

I am also a Premium user.   I'm 90% sure its a bug in the new version on iOS7, and it has been reported by some other users.  If its not a setting then where are the Notes?  Very strange.

Am following up with Support now and will repost if I get a resolution.  Thanks!

Same thing here,

I've installed the new app (iphone 5 - ios7) and the notes and my entire tag list seem to be gone. When I open Evernote for Windows (desktop software), they are all there (notes and tags). However, in the iphone the notes are just note there, just the new ones since the update. You cannot search old notes or search by an specific tag because they are simply not available for you to choose. The info is somehow hidden from the evernote iphone app.

Check the new reviews and you will read all the complaints.

How can I REMEMBER EVERYTHING when the info is not there?

Fabio

Welcome to the forum. Please see jhull's post above. If you could contact support and work through them, then the developers will have the data they need to figure out the problem.
