tacomanator 2 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Clicking on the clipper on a page without any text selected sometimes results in a regular note containing the content of the page, and other times results in a note with a web archive attached. For example:Copies the content: http://www.sorting-algorithms.com/?Creates a web archive: http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/beautiful-css-centered-menus-no-hacks-full-cross-browser-supportThe Firefox clipper is not affected.
engberg 89 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Thanks for the report, this sounds like a bug.
tacomanator 2 Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Here is another example of similar problem, only this time instead of a web archive a note with a single attachment called 'Unnamed File Attachment' is created. The 'unnamed' attachment opens in TextEdit. The site is I'm trying to clip from is:http://all-thing.net/fibersI tried selecting all different types of text on the page, from a single word to the entire page, and got the same result each time. The clipping was done using the web clipper for Safari on Safari 3.2.3 (5525.28.3) and Evernote 1.4.3 (49794).

I get the dreaded "Unnamed File Attachment" for email receipts which I forward to my evernote email address. The TextEdit "attachment" is all but unreadable unless I laboriously remove all the html to find the text. I hope this is a bug because it's sure inconvenient;
sheclimber 2 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I'm getting TextEdit attachments when trying to clip pdfs (using Safari with Yosemite)

Clicking on the clipper on a page without any text selected sometimes results in a regular note containing the content of the page, and other times results in a note with a web archive attached. For example:
Copies the content: http://www.sorting-algorithms.com/?
Creates a web archive: http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/beautiful-css-centered-menus-no-hacks-full-cross-browser-support
The Firefox clipper is not affected.
