Anyone else having any issues with merging notes in Evernote for Mac? My version processes very slowly. Sometimes it takes five small notes five minutes to merge.

Hi. Welcome to the forums. I generally work with text, but recently I have been moving more and more images and PDFs into Evernote as I try to incorporate things like Moleskines into my workflow. This has resulted in terrifically slow processing times, and even today, when I have nothing added and nothing processing, the app is surprisingly lethargic. I imagine merging notes would really tax the system, especially if they contain attachments. Hopefully, this will get worked out in the next iteration of the app.

Yes. I've used merge notes since I started with Evernote two years ago. This is a new problem and it does not seem dependent on the size of the notes. It's very frustrating!

Merge with the Windows version is much faster.

 

Every day, I find something to merge. Graphics to better support the text from a website. An email confirmation that applies to an on-line purchase. Selected portions of a lengthy PDF or text merged.

 

If each merge took minutes to accomplish, I would give up.

I'm having the same problem with Mac version 5.4.3. It's never taken 5 minutes, but minutes nevertheless for an operation that recently only took seconds. Very frustrating indeed. I depend on Evernote, every day, all day long.
