Juggy 13 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Hey guys, I've been using a pen and paper calendar forever, but I want to replace it with an electronic calendar and use Evernote. I wanted to know if it's possible for me to put in my upcoming assignment duedates, important tests and appointments into Evernote. I want to get some kind of message notifying me that there's something important coming up. Thanks for any help!
Level 5* gazumped 12,234 Posted October 25, 2013 Level 5* Posted October 25, 2013 Evernote has reminders. It doesn't do calendars yet.
CaptainTime 94 Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 What gazumped said. Use your favourite calendar program and just link it to your Evernote notebook or note.
Juggy 13 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Alright, thanks. Can't I use Reminders to work like a calendar though?
Mikey K 0 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 I'm pretty new to evernote so may be talking rubbish here . Depends how much you want it to be a calendar . Just had a mega quick play. you could set up a notebook called calendar and then a note for each event you want to be reminded about and then add a reminder to that note Not sure how much help that is or if it's overly elegant but it's do the job
ZZZ 135 Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 When you ask a question you are more likely to get meaningful answers if you take enough time to make clear what you want, it may be obvious to you, but it may not be to others . Alright, thanks. Can't I use Reminders to work like a calendar though? If "work like a calendar" means showing a visual display of a calendar, no that's not possible. I want to get some kind of message notifying me that there's something important coming up. Again, what does this mean? A message in Evernote? An email message? A message on the day something is due or at any time you predetermine? I don't even use the reminders feature myself, but to my knowledge you can select the date you want to be reminded about something. And in preferences you can set EN to email you the morning the item is due. It may also pop up a reminder in EN on that day, I don't know. You can also see a list of all your reminders in one place, whether they are due or not. That's pretty much the limit of the functionality as far as I know. If you want to show them on a calendar the only way to do that (other than manually) would be to see if there are any 3rd party apps that add EN reminders to a calendar such as Google calendar. I've already seem mention of a few that do this, I'd Google "evernote reminders calendar"
missb6_2 11 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I create my own Calendar in Evernote, I just wrote a blog post about it. http://bit.ly/19ssncy
chronistin 188 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 There is also Tusktools. It's a little rough around the edges and quite memory-hungry, but it shows EN notes on a calendar and also can sync with google calendar. http://www.moreproductivenow.com/tusktools_calendar.html
Level 5* gazumped 12,234 Posted December 29, 2013 Level 5* Posted December 29, 2013 --and I (still) use Meshin Calendar in Android (also in iOS) which links with Google Calendar and saves notes to Evernote.
ApplianceJunk 23 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Go to youtube and search, evernote calendar.
Juggy 13 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Are there any other choices I can look into?
Jorek 1 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Hello, there is something new at last: calendar.sunrise.am. Quite interesting.
Juggy 13 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Thanks for the reply! I accidentally pressed 'Share' when I was asked to share my location. How do I undo this??? Please help me!
Level 5* gazumped 12,234 Posted August 11, 2014 Level 5* Posted August 11, 2014 Was that in Evernote, Sunrise or Android? Either way - check Settings; there should be an opt out you can use somewhere...
Juggy 13 Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 Was that in Evernote, Sunrise or Android? Either way - check Settings; there should be an opt out you can use somewhere... I did it on the Sunrise site when I clicked on this link: http://calendar.sunrise.am/
Level 5* gazumped 12,234 Posted August 11, 2014 Level 5* Posted August 11, 2014 Hmmn. The Sunrise Calendar is surprisingly light on actual settings. Have a look at Evernote's settings for location data - which Sunrise might have been referencing for new notes and appointments. (In Android that's under Note Creation) Edit: Sunrise does have some useful help information here...
JohnDM 122 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I create my own Calendar in Evernote, I just wrote a blog post about it. http://bit.ly/19ssncy Missb this is awesome, I think something like this could work especially well when your sharing a Notebook and there is a shared calendar with links to the appropriate dated events
John Zeman 29 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Just to overcharge ya'll with my 2 cents worth for a static calendar that I can fill with information that does nothing, WinCalendar is kind of neat. For a calendar that's dynamic with Evernote, which I prefer, I use TuskTools Calendar.Screen shot of one my WinCalendars attached.
solar_sailer 0 Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Hi John, Your April, 1990 calendar looks like that of a bridge player who enjoys one of the best ACBL Regionals each year - in Gatlinburg. If you still attend, let me know and I'll say "Hi" in 2015.
Juggy 13 Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 I create my own Calendar in Evernote, I just wrote a blog post about it. http://bit.ly/19ssncyWow, that looks great! Does Evernote have an "official version" of it so I can trust it with my personal information?
adambird 10 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Anyone interested in this thread, may be interested in the Evernote Calendar Connector we've just released in the App Center
Itemata 0 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Hi everyone,I'd like to ask Evernote to integrate a full calendar whitin Evernote. I also wish I could have a email reminder per note and not only per day.If this is clear enought with my french accent ^^Thanks to allItemata

What I would like to see is a calendar where every day with a note is marked and can be klicked to see all entries of that day. So just a calendar view within evernote.
Level 5* gazumped 12,234 Posted December 10, 2015 Level 5* Posted December 10, 2015 Evernote doesn't have a calendar, and seems in no great hurry to copy all the other calendar apps out there and create one. The app in this thread connects an external calendar to Evernote's reminder dates, and there's another web-based calendar which does something similar - https://calendar.sunrise.am/

calmriver 7 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Hello guys, I'm here exactely for that reason (sunrise calendar not work good anymore on android and will be discontinued). Any alternative to sync with google calendar? Better if free Thanks, Andrea
Level 5* gazumped 12,234 Posted December 23, 2015 Level 5* Posted December 23, 2015 Hi. Do you use a to-do app of any sort? I'm currently on TickTick which has a useful calendar view, but I'd imagine lots of other apps have something similar - I also use a Samsung Note 4 which has its own S Planner plus calendar. There's more or less integration with Evernote, but my entries usually include a link back to the note for more detail. Some calendar types will integrate directly with Google, others can probably be linked up with IFTTT or equivalent scripts. There's a lot of personal choice and use case issues wrapped up in this, so there's probably no all-around 'best' option, just your personal preferred compromised between efficiency and not adding yet another new app to your device...
Level 5* DTLow 5,749 Posted December 23, 2015 Level 5* Posted December 23, 2015 I tried a service called EventNoted. It worked well; added my flagged notes as calendar items, with a link back to the notes. https://www.eventnoted.com I'm currently manually inserting my calendar entries and adding a note link. I didn't want to work within the limitations of the calendar interface solutions.

Hey Markus, I did not see this question since I've been absent from the forums for a while. Which predefined masks are you asking for? The the monthly calendar templates I have build are mainly meant to be the goto place for when you are looking for tasks or deadlines that you do not want to appear in your ical. The way I roll is, dates and meetings as well as events go into the ical. all tasks, project deadlines, triggers go into the evernote calendar. I had build a system last year, where you could jump from an annual overview into a monthly overview, and from there into a daily 24h calendar. that were 365(day) notes, 12(month) notes and one annual overview note. that was 2015. I decided not to do the work of changing all the day names for 366 days this year in 366 notes. tedious work. so I rather went with a system of 12 monthly overview notes. his one is for May https://www.evernote.com/l/AIgNHXPj9W9KiqOdf_LsretFYa7o-gmiyso Note Export.enex
