(Archived) Why can URL x-callback-URL not beimplemented for web clipping on iOS

Due to sandboxed nature of iOS extension forces clipping in Safari are not feasible but a number of apps now use x callback URL call back to pass info from one app to another. If call back was implemented in Evernote for iOS then it would be feasible to implement web clipping from any browser by adding the correct URL and the WebClip would then be opened in iOS Evernote for tagging etc. Many apps use this system and list of all the apps is here.
