lorne17 0
Hello there,One of the main reasons I started using this program was the advertisement that I can search text in images I have saved as notes. For some odd reason that isn't the case right now. Is there an OCR built into the program that I have to run in order to search images? Thanks,Lorne Link to comment
engberg 89
When you put an image into Evernote and then synchronize it to our web service, we will put it into a queue for processing. Images from Premium users are processed first, and then we work through images from Free users in order they were received. This usually takes a few minutes, but can take a bit longer during peak times. When the processing is finished, the results are attached to the note behind the scenes. The next time you sync, these results come down to your desktop client. At this point, you should be able to search for text within the images on either the web or on the client.A few things you could confirm:the images must be of file type JPG, GIF, or PNG. (We don't search for text in images within PDFs)we don't process images that you put into a "Local" notebook on your clienttry searching for a few of the most clear and short English words in the image.http://www.evernote.com/pub/ensupport/f ... 6037835476 Link to comment
