(Archived) copying nothing closes the software

Hi,

I'm new user of evernote and in thiss forum. I did not find any related topic. I am not sure If I'm posting my topic in the right forum.

I am not sure why but when I press ctrl+c and nothing is selected, it will make a "ting" sound and close the software. it also does it when I go to edit>copy and nothing is selected. if something is selected it will work and copy the selection.

What operating system are you using?

 

Reads like Windows, which if it is, I am not seeing the same problem.

Hi Chezouns,

 

I use Windows 8, but have just tried it on a Windows 7 machine in the office and there is no problem on that one either.

 

I cannot imagine why it would do it unless there are settings within Windows causing the problem. Perhaps one of our computer buffs will come on and advise.
