Hey folks,

 

Big release today! New version of Evernote Business. Great updates to Presentation Mode. Note editor bug fixes. Most importantly, you can now mark up images, pdfs, and notes right inside of Evernote! Here are the release notes:

So, if you are NOT running EN Business, the ONLY new features are those listed under "Other New Features" ?

2 bugs I've found so far

 

1. It doesn't seem like my paste is working (copy from within evernote or out, richtext, plaintext, and images all don't work) 

2. dragging from saved search to shortcuts pane UI interaction is also not working (so no way to add a saved search to the shortcuts pane)

 

I'll file a support request, but wanted to check if anyone else had these problems...

1. I've encountered no problem with pasting.

 

2. Suggestion for the EN team: It might be a good idea to add an 'Add to Shortcuts' button to the Saved Search's Edit pane.

Which version do I use? 

 

I'm on 10.8.4, and when I go to Software Update, I see Evernote for Mac 5.3.0.

 

But when I look at the download page for Evernote.com, it downloads "Evernote_401989".

 

I thought if I installed originally from the App Store, I still had to stick with this method... but then I would only have 5.3...

 

 

Also, my Safari evernote clipper is not doing the things the newer clipper in Chrome is doing - there is no 'screenshot' or other new options.

 

 

How do I get the new clipper features on Safari?

It sometimes takes a little longer for the App Store version to be released than the direct download.

 

The new new features available in the Chrome clipper are not yet available for Safari.

I upgraded to 5.4 today via the update notification inside Evernote...when the program tried to restart after installing update in froze my entire system.  I then waited about 45 minutes and it never recovered, all other applications frozen also.  Rebooted, and system was fine until I tried to load Evernote again...then same problem.  Rebooted and download the update again from the web, copied over existing install and tried to reload Evernote...same problem.  Any one else having these problems?  Previous version worked fine prior to install of 5.4. System is OS X 10.8.5 on Mac Mini Server.

Yes, it happens to me with about every other upgrade they put online. One works, the next freezes Evernote, and if I am unlucky, the whole Mac.

Version 5.4 is a "freezer" again.. pretty annoying.
