I loaded the latest update to Evernote about 24 hours ago. The menu applet appeared to work, however the main application, when launched from the Applications folder, would not open. The Evernote icon appeared in the list of running programs (e.g. command-tab displays it with other running programs). Safari hung repeatedly and other apps began crashing as well.
I uninstalled Evernote and Safari continued to hang. I reset Safari and things went back to normal (with Evernote still uninstalled). I did 8 hours of Apple hardware test to make sure this wasn't a hardware issue.
Everything was working fine with my system, so I re-downloaded and re-installed Evernote and now am experiencing the same problem--the main program does not load.
