(Archived) Clearing cache causes crash

For the past month, every time that I have cleared EN cache, closed EN, and later launched it, it crashed. Crash = a totally black screen. This has happened 4 times in 4 weeks. I thought that clearing the cache would be a good thing. Silly me. It takes me 3 hours to download off line notebooks. I am wasting a lot of hours doing this.

Yes, I tried logging into my online EN account. That did not get EN back on my ipad.

Yes, I asked for Support's help and got their useless rote advice "Reinstall!"

Any suggestions for how to avoid this, other than never to clear EN cache, will much appreciated. Thanks.

It's now the second week of October so I guess there's no point waiting for a considered reply during the shutdown.

 

My only suggestion 'sealion' is, never, never clear the cache!
