ExNihilo 26
I don't see anything in Chrome's option to prevent the display of the gargantuan "related notes" popup. I just want to clip and go. OK? You could turn this behavior off in the previos version, but I can't figure out how. in this one. All I want to see is some animation at the toolbar icon that assures me my clip has been processed. Link to comment

wateringamy 0
In my setup the related box is unchecked. Yet, I still get the related notes. Link to comment
jbignert 473
The related notes showing in the dialog after you clip cannot be disabled at this point. (considered for a future release) The Related results feature and associated checkbox in the options applies to the feature we have on search engines results page only. Link to comment
gbarry 2,658
My bad, that's to toggle off Related Results, not Related Notes. Thanks for fixing me. Link to comment
Dan Butcher 2
Let me add my support for making this option a part of the next release--as ExNihilo said, I want to clip and go on. If I wanted related notes, I would open Evernote and search. I have never understood the usefulness of the related notes feature in the clipper--when I'm clipping, that's not the time I want to see other notes, because I'm not in the mindset of looking for stuff in Evernote. When I'm clipping in my browser, I'm working, browsing, researching--I want the clipper to be as simple and fast as possible, with minimal clicks. I like the new interface--much better--but the related notes pop-up is definitely a step backwards. update: I just checked Clearly, and it allows for related notes to be turned off, so that seems to be the better choice at the moment. jwolf76 0
I also vote for the option to turn them off. There are too many mouse clicks already just to get a quick note saved. Link to comment
tomgraham1 0
kills. What would be helpful would be a way to designate which folder to send saved page to. Offer two choices, clip this page, and clip and select destination folder. Do not add another step to do this please, as that too would slow things down. Now I have to open E and manually designate where each page clipped goes, (which project it relates to). This is a time waster, and causes notes to be lost or hard to locate. Link to comment
jbignert 473
@tomgrahamHave you tried clicking on the notebook in the sidebar? That will open the dialog where you can select the notebook to file into. Link to comment

I want to put them in the proper folder quickly as I am doing my quick research online. As I said, sorting them after the fact is much slower. Link to comment
astrotter 0
I second the suggestions to just re-enable disabling this feature. Or, at the very least, let there be a keyboard shortcut to close that pop-up window (ESC does not work on it). Link to comment
jbignert 473
One tip to close it is to click anywhere in the 'body' of the webpage to close it. But yes, we're going to add an option to not see the dialog after a clip. Link to comment
lenarr 23
Kindly add this option soon. I'm so annoyed by it -- and have been annoyed for months -- that I'm posting to the forum. And it's not only the "related notes" (which are more "miss" than "hit") that are annoying me today -- it's the endless ads for Evernote Food that are appearing instead of related notes as I clip recipes from a cooking website. How many times do I need to X out of that, to get Evernote to realized that I'M JUST NOT INTERESTED in Evernote Food? I understand that the clipper is free, but as a paid subscriber of Evernote I'm really annoyed to be inundated with these ads. Thanks. Link to comment
lenarr 23
Oh, and now there's another ad: "Invite Friends. Get Premium." I'm already Premium, why do I have to look at this over and over again? Link to comment
windpower 16
Another vote for the option to disable "related notes." I have not needed that feature even once. Link to comment
TomStrand 0
Please add a preference to disable related notes in the Web Clipper. Ugh. I can't dismiss the silly window without using my mouse. I've never **once** looked at a related note. Link to comment
Matt R. 0
Clarification: Are you all talking about the little elephant-in-a-box icon that pops up in the lower right corner when you browse through notes? When you click on it, it directs you to 'related notes' at the bottom of the current note. If that is what you're talking about, is there an update on how to disable it? It is one of the most annoying things to have that little box pop up when I'm clicking through my notes. Even if that's not what you're talking about, can someone please help me disable this thing? THANKS!Matt R. Link to comment
mwickens 2
Another vote to have at least an option for this. Now, the pop-up is displaying advertising (I'm already a Premium subscriber; I don't want or need to be sold to). The confirmation that your clip was saved should disappear after a couple of seconds automatically. See how Pocket does it. The evernote UI feels like it wants to take over when it should want to get out of the way once it has served its purpose. Link to comment
TheGooch 25
Another vote to have the option to opt-out/disable related notes from Web Clipper. Link to comment

jbignert 473
Hi all,The new beta version 6.2 has this feature implemented, It's a setting on the options page and I'm eager to hear feedback if this meets users expectations. Get the build from this forum thread:https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/62210-chrome-web-clipper-62-beta/ Note for Windows users - if you run the latest Chrome version it may be impossible to install unsigned extensions unless you are running in developer mode (a new Chrome policy). meter_filler 0
I'm still getting the popup window appearing despite being on 6.3 now. Am I missing something? This is very intrusive with both clipper and clearly notes popping up all the time. I'm on the verge of uninstalling two helpful extensions just because of the popups. Link to comment
jbignert 473
Exactly what popup are you referring to? Post a screenshot and I'm sure I can help you. In general all UI options are located on the Clipper options page that you access from the bottom of the Web Clipper UI panel. Link to comment

In general all UI options are located on the Clipper options page that you access from the bottom of the Web Clipper UI panel. I got both of these popups wthin a few minutes of each other today, suggesting that they are being pushed out. I still haven't found any setting that actually turns them off which is really frustrating. If I can't find the setting, I'm just going to uninstall the extensions; these are mildly handy, but not at the annoyance of all these repetitive popups https://flic.kr/p/ru62AY https://flic.kr/p/rLx8WN Link to comment
