(Archived) Shared Notebooks - Name of who wrote the note

Recommended Posts

Hello! when you share a notebook, the name of the person who wrote a note appear in the note? Or just premium users can see it? I'm using android platform and it's not showing the name of the person who wrote the note... Thanks.

Doesn't appear to be available, even for premium users (doesn't sound like a premium feature anyways). I looked on the Note Info for a mote that I know has a non-blank author. Nothing there. This is on my Android phone; haven't tried it on my tablet, but I doubt that it's there either.

Hello jefito, thanks.

I thought that the author would be available. I mean what's the reason for that field if it's not to inform the author? LOL

It's a bit confusing, isn't it. I think it was conceived of as a way to indicate the author of a clipped web page or the author of an email sent into your account. Back in the day, we didn't have sharing, or sharing was a lot more limited, so the author of something in your account was usually you. I think the author field has always seemed a little like a black sheep, and I think some users have taken to "hacking" it by putting information in the field so that they can sort notes using the advanced search grammar with the "author:" prefix.
