martinrice 6
I was wondering whether, after assigning a note to one notebook I could also have access to it while in a different notebook without duplicating the note? TIA,Martin Link to comment
Level 5 jbenson2 2,149 Posted August 13, 2013 Level 5 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Evernote lets you put a link for access to the original note in other notes (in other notebooks).http://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#/article/23190617 Link to comment

martinrice 6
Whoops, I might have spoken too soon. The article that you gave me a link to says, "To create a link to a specific note using Evernote for Windows or Mac, right-click the note in the note list and choose Copy Note Link." When I right-click, that's not one of the options that appears. Have things changed since that article was written? Thanks,Martin Link to comment

Here is a video showing how to generate links on the Mac. Are you not seeing this kind of behavior? https://www.evernote.com/shard/s74/sh/a808397a-bdee-41b3-954e-e144a45f306c/73b2abd6645d4f70d75e1a231cade1a8 Link to comment
martinrice 6
What I'm trying to follow is this (seen when I click the link you posted): Right-click on a note > Select "Copy Note Link" > Paste into a note. This functions the same way as #1, but you have to do it one note at a time. That's also what was in the link posted by the first person to respond to my question. But when I right-click on a note, this is what I see: Open Note in Separate WindowPrintEditDeleteAdd Shortcut Nothing about Copy Note Link. WHOOPS!!!!!!!!!!!! Just figured out the problem. I was looking for Copy Note Link while working with EN online. It just now dawned on me that perhaps I should be using the app on my computer. And, sure enough, it works fine there. Really sorry for this dumb misunderstanding, and thanks to those who tried to help. Martin Link to comment

There are many limitations to the online version, and I recommend the native clients. Link to comment
