AMoore 0 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I created a packing list and when I went to use it, I find I can't check off anything on it. For some reason, it does not work on the web or desktop app but does work on my Android phone. For this trip, that will work. However I would like to be able to check off future lists on my laptop as well. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks for any help!
Level 5* gazumped 12,224 Posted August 14, 2013 Level 5* Posted August 14, 2013 It's probably significant where you created the list, and which desktop app you're using. Although Evernote works on multiple platforms, editing notes tends to be a bit of a hit and miss operation. You can -usually- edit the note in the app that created it, but your desktop (forinstance) may be confused by a document created on the phone. No work-arounds really, apart from creating the document and working with it in one place wherever this conflict seems to arise...

If so, did you sync your phone, so the note is on the EN servers?
AMoore 0 Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 I created it on the web and synced my phone once I had trouble. Went back to the web and downloaded the app. Neither would work.

And the reason it's still on the phone is b/c the phone has not sync'd. I would suggest emailing the note from the phone to yourself, so you have a copy of it. Then try creating another note on the web & see if it syncs to your phone & see if the original note in question remains on the phone after a sync.
