scotty t 0
I need to know how that I can move a file from my computer to a shared file. I can email it to my default folder but I need to place it in a shared file. Jackolicious gave an answer in another post but it didn't work. Some Evernote users believe this feature cannot be done. Jackolicious says otherwise but I have not found the solution. Here's the scenario: Someone shared a folder with me that has five documents. I opened one, edited it and need to put it back into the folder. I do not see how this is accomplished. Can anyone help? Do I need Premium to accomplish this? Link to comment

I am afraid I do not know which Jackolicious post you are talking about, but here is the deal. (1) Premium user shares a notebook with you giving you modification privileges.(2) You "join" the notebook.(3) You edit the note. That's it. The next time your account syncs (you can press the icon in the toolbar to do it immediately) your note will be synced and the other person can see it. If this isn't happening, then you have a problem to work out, and we will need more details. I have written a little bit about shared notebooks. Maybe the screen shots will help.http://www.christopher-mayo.com/?p=425 Link to comment
Level 5* GrumpyMonkey 4,320 Posted August 9, 2013 Level 5* Share Posted August 9, 2013 Oh, and if you want to move a note into it, then you just right-click on the note you want to move and select the shared notebook. All of this is premised on your ability to modify the notes in the notebook you joined, though, and that is up to the other person. For example, you cannot modify the notes in my shared notebook (see the link at the bottom of my signature), but you could if I gave you permission. Link to comment
