(Archived) Evernote for Mac - Search using a tag finds notes that is no longer using that tag

For example...

I tag a note "waiting $" as it is a receivable.  I receive $, erase the tag and add a new one "closed". But when I do a search for "waiting $", the note still comes up even though the tag is no longer there. 

(note -this is a shared notebook)

 

Any ideas? It's very frustrating as I set up this system so I can easily see exactly how many files I'm waiting for payment on.
