Gavin_ 1
I need to do a search like this: intitle:\-\ * which uses the backslash to escape and means search for all notes that have a title starting with "- ". How can this be done? Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted July 31, 2013 Level 5* Share Posted July 31, 2013 Evernote search doesn't support escapes like that. I would have thought that intitle:"-"* would work, but it doesn't appear to, even though quoted arguments are allowed, according to the search grammar (http://dev.evernote.com/documentation/cloud/chapters/search_grammar.php) Link to comment

Gavin_ 1
As long as it's at the beginning of a title, wouldn't "notes by title" and scroll down find your note(s) if any? Yes, this works. And it's actually easier than search. I use "-" as a todo marker on notes so that the stay at the top of all notebooks. Simply sorting by title in All Notes shows all my todos. Link to comment

anjoschu 67
Sometimes, being simple helps.. It sure does. However, I wonder if the original poster originally needed the search string for a saved search. Link to comment
