(Archived) Unable to save in Evernote 5.2.1

Hi,

I just upgraded to the newest Evernote free version, and have since not been able to save anything. I tried making a new note three times, and each time, all of the text in my note was lost.
This is a real issue for me. I have relied on Evernote for several years now, and have indispensable notes there. This is a pretty serious problem for me if it means my stuff on Evernote is not safe and can get erased. Would you please let me know what's going on?

Nope, it's on a mac. I'm able to save notes from the website, but not from the desktop application.

I'm having the same issue. It works fine on my mac running OSX 10.8 but on a different mac running OSX 10.6.8 I can't save more than once. After I save a single note the whole UI starts acting up and I can't save, sync, delete, etc.

Same here. When I click the synchronizing button the program seems to crash silently.

After that I even can't open other notes.

When restarting it, reading the notes works again,

but all the new data is lost. 

 

Please fix this!!!

We're not able to reproduce this at all in-house. Mind opening a support request with logs?

Sure. Now I am at home on my mac. I reinstalled the programm and deleted the old database.

It synchronized everything to the last point, but still has that crashing bug.

 

Here is the last entry, only copy to clipboard worked or else it crashed again.

Some problem here. Latest full release of Evernote, OS 10.7.3

Exact same problem here on 10.7.2.  I have uninstalled (including deleting system plist files) and reinstalled several times.

 

It will work on the first run, but right after I quit the program for the very first time it will no longer sync or save thereafter.

 

I use Evernote for everything, work, personal, etc!  I hope a fix comes soon!

 

I've used the web interface in the meantime which I'm grateful for, but it can't replace the desktop app.

I have the same problem.

 

When I edit a note, save and then open another note, the title changes to the new note but the content of the old note remains.

 

Syncing, closing the app, then restarting the app shows the changes are lost.

 

I'm using the webapp until the desktop app is working again.

I had the same problem for weeks and weeks... up to about 5 minutes ago. As @Jackolicious mentions, the bug that was causing this issue seems to be fixed in the latest beta. I downloaded the beta from the link above, deleted the old version of the app (leaving logs, preferences, etc. intact in the ~/Library folders), installed the new beta and things seem to be working just fine. Yay!

I'm running Evernote Version 5.4.3 (402231) on a MacBook Pro on 10.6.8 and I am unable to attach any documents in Evernote. The thumbnail appears as if a document is attached however when I open the note there is no attachment. I can attach documents via my iPad and iPhone just fine. When I attempt to open these notes that i attached documents to via the Web App the thumbnail image of the attachment is removed. Seems there still is an issue with the latest version of Evernote, iOS 10.6.8 and attachments.

 

Any resolutions to this on the horizon or should I just find another platform?
