gdefenbaugh 2
Premium user here. IPad version now takes 30 seconds or more to respond to screen presses. IPad 2, 64gb. I have already taken some remediation steps.I removed the Evernote application from my iPad, reinstalled it and downloaded the offline folders again. Still runs very slow. IPhone OK. Thoughts ?? gdefenbaugh 2
I identified the problem. A particular set of PDF files I uploaded yesterday cause the screen to freeze in both iPad and iPhone products. These files don't look particularly complicated, but they originated as PDF files sent to me, not from a scanner. So who knows what's in them. They render fine on my PC and Mac desktopsI confirmed these were the problem by removing them from EN and normal screen responsiveness returned.??? Would anyone at EN like a copy of the files for testing? I don't mind sending them specifically to EN but do not want to post them in this forum Link to comment

I recommend you start a support ticket (see the link in my signature). They could probably make use of the PDFs to replicate the bug and fix it. Link to comment
gdefenbaugh 2
Thank you for the suggestion. After my previous reply I did stumble upon the support page and I did leave them just such a note. It has become apparent to me, through other recent projects, that PDF files can be royally screwed up inside and yet still render fine on some platforms. NEW INFO: I am slogging through opening/saving the files in Preview on my mac, and then importing the saved (flattened?) file into EN. This was a suggestion from the Apple Store trainers when I had problems with another PDF file that caused fits for some of their standard apps. I've completed 10% of the files and so far, screen responsiveness remains fine. I'll report back later with the final results. Link to comment
