(Archived) Where is the EN database on mac? (trying to back it up instead of exporting notes)

Tyler H

Idea

Specifically the app-store version of EN?

I would like to automatically backup the database so I don't have to manually export my notes and back them up like that.. would backing up the database do the same exact thing? If I were to place that database into a new install on a new computer, would all my notes and tags come up as I would normally see them?

Hi. Welcome to the forums.

Here is some of the information you need (http://www.christopher-mayo.com/?p=135). The precise location depends on your computer. Time Machine ought to be catching this data already in each backup, so if you plug that in every day, you don't have to wander around the folders looking for stuff. My understanding is that the database could be copy/pasted into a new install and would work, but I have not tested it.
