(Archived) How do I add the new widget to my Note 2 lock screen?

I have no idea how to do this. I'm running Android 4.1.2 on a Galaxy Note 2. Can someone give me the steps to adding the latest widget to my lock screen? Thanks

A pity as it looks like the Note 2 is going to skip straight to 4.3 when it's released (according to cult of android).
