BobbyH 0 Posted July 7, 2013 Share Posted July 7, 2013 When a PDF file annotated in PDFPen Pro is opened in Skitch the highlights do not show up, just the text fields which have been added. PDFPen is missing Stamps and I would love to be able to annotate a PDF in both programs and have the Stamps, highlighting and drawings appear in both. I'm guessing this is impossible because of layers unique to each program. Am I correct or is there a way to do this? Link to comment

Skitch uses its own graphics for marking up rather than the standard annotation graphics in the PDF spec. The reason we do this is so we can bring you useful markups such as Stamps, or allow for our high quality arrows. This doesn't stop third parties from rendering our graphics, they can if they want to, but it would most likely mean they could not be edited. Link to comment
