BurgersNFries 2,407
My oldest note will be 5 years old in October... Since I'm migrating notes from previous incarnations (IE, Palm), and changing the created date to match the date of the note (if able to be determined), the date of my "oldest" note is (at this point) 7/13/1979. Soft pre-launch period for Evernote?I'm 42,902 Refreshed my memory:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evernote" the Evernote web service launched into open beta on June 24, 2008" http://blog.evernote.com/blog/2008/06/24/evernote-public-launch/June 24, 2008"Big news today: Evernote is now in Open Beta and we’ve rolled out many changes, including premium accounts.Four months ago, we introduced the invitation-only private beta of the new Evernote service. Our goal was to get about 10,000 people to use the system so we could fine-tune our servers and try out new features. We were blown away by the response and watched with equal parts of glee and horror as the closed beta users count passed 10,000, then 25,000, then 50,000… By the end of the four months, over 125,000 people had participated in the closed-beta! Luckily, our hardware, software and team held up with only minor incidents of spontaneous combustion." http://blog.evernote.com/blog/2008/02/21/invite-only-beta-launches/Feb 21, 2008Big news today, we officially launched our invitation-only beta for the all new Evernote Service. Read all about it in TechCrunch. There are only a limited number of beta invites available right now, but we’ll be releasing more in the coming days and weeks. So I guess I jumped in 1-2 months into the closed beta. Scary how time has flown. Link to comment

My user number is in the 58,000 range, which out of 65,000,000 isn't bad, but honestly, it should be in the sub-100 range. Link to comment

Level 5* EdH 1,670 Posted June 27, 2013 Level 5* Share Posted June 27, 2013 Ahhh... nice CWB. This is the page I remember back in 2004. Evernote the app is definitely older than 5 years, by roughly 5 years. Evernote the new company may only harken back to 2008, but I've been with the app for long before that. Link to comment
Level 5* EdH 1,670 Posted June 27, 2013 Level 5* Share Posted June 27, 2013 Back then, Evernote had note templates, not just the big white space. Here is an example of a Phone Log template. And it had the never-ending roll style with the dates on the side. That was just removed a few years ago, sadly. I liked that little feature. Link to comment

righteousdork 203
That email made my day. Hard to believe it's been that long. My first child was born in June of 2008 and that's a pretty eye-opening experience. Really hit home how disorganized I was and how ill-prepared to be a parent. So glad I found Evernote only a few short months later. I'm still a mess, but with Evernote there is always hope! Link to comment
wyllyness 0
Congratulations!! Thank you for changing our lives for the better. I would be so disorganized, frustrated and have a LOT more papers to lose and pile up if it weren't for evernote. So thank you from the top, center and bottom of my heart. I have told many people about Evernote and what it has done for me. Consider me a disciple. Link to comment
MissyStar 0
Hi All I am #13,314. I still have version 2.2.2 (156801) dmg file because I was using that version for years. This year I decided to try version 5 on my Snow Leopard. I settled for version 3.0.2. This year I went to Version 3.3.0 because some of the posters said that 3.3.0 had an easier interface and kept all the features. At least I'm not the only Evernote user still doing it old school. Happy Birthday, Evernote! It's a great app. A special nod to all you posters. You help so many lurkers such as me. Your knowledge and patience is truly appreciated. Thanks Nightstalker for discussing version 3.3.0. I like it even better than my 2.2.2 LOL! Link to comment
