(Archived) Where the monospace font in the font list?

I pasted some text in a note and it was in font monospace. I wanted to have other text also in the same font and the monospace font wasn't in the list. How do you make text monospaced?

I had to go through a workaround putting the desired text next to the monospaced text, change the font and then moving the text. There has to be a better way.

I highlight the text and select "Courier New" for monospaced font.

I'd recommend DejaVu Sans Mono as a lovely font with a large range of symbols and proper distinction between '1' and 'l' and '0' and 'O' etc.
