In Google+, people often post links using the Google URL shorten'r. (similar to Bit.ly)

Is there a way to convert a goo.gl or bit.ly URL shortcut to a workable hyperlink inside Evernote?

I just copied this url to goo.gl and got http://goo.gl/0Jj0E as a shortcut.  Copied that into a (Windows desktop) note and it was recognised as a link,  which got me back to this page.

Thanks Gaz. Here is the problem - I clipped a post from Google+

The links are black text, not a blue hyperlink. So I assumed they did not work.

After reading your message, I tried clicking on them and they worked, but continued to stay black.

Not a show stopper.
