Not like you can in Onenote. But if you have a text note and an image of a handwritten note you can merge notes on the desktop or web clients.

The Notability app does this very well but I cannot figure it out on Penultimate yet

I use Notability aswell , them I take a screenshot and add it to EN folder.

But I am also hoping for being able to handwrite while making a note.

Is there a way to merge a "normal" note with a handwritten note taken in evernote desktop app ?

 

When I try merging them in desktop app the handwritten note is always dispalyed with an attachmen called "Attachment.bin". The image of the note is not displayed.

I can always add a link to a handwritten note, but displaying it in the same note would be more useful

What OS are you using and what version of EN?

 

Yes, this is supposed to work.  I just tried it to confirm it.

However, I read in some previous Threads that if you move an image around within a Note by clicking and dragging,( like one would in OneNote), something unusual happens with the file extension of the image you moved.  EN doesn't recognize the image any longer.  But not all is lost.

Since the handwritten Note from Penultimate is basically an image when synced into Evernote, the same issue may occur if you tried to re-arrange the image.

 

Another question:  Did you try re-arranging the handwritten image before trying the Merge?

The bottom line is, you may need to put in a Support Ticket to resolve the issue.
