(Archived) How to delete a part of a Note

I've just clipped a web page and stored it in a Note.  There is some text there that I would like to delete but keep the rest.  When I select the extraneous part, I would think the Delete key would delete it, but it does nothing.

 

Is there a way to partially delete Note text pasted from the web?  The Knowledge Base only seems to tell you how to delete the whole Note.

 

(I'm using Chrome on Win 7)
