(Archived) no way to backup evernote notebooks to nexus 7 tablet or other media for safekeeping

I am not a paid subscriber but still I think there should be an option to either export or otherwise fully backup any evernote data to my nexus tablet independently of your product. In a previous post an evernote employee stated to the effect that version 5.0 and higher would easily accomplish that......but in all your menu options I find no way to backup or export an entire note or notebook to another drive or media...so I would greatly appreciate any reply from this forum that would solve this problem or any suggestion of an auxiliary app to download
