itsme213 2 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I have hidden the toolbar (wasted screen space for me). When I key in Cmd-F I would expect the find-field to be made visible so I can do my search. Am I doing something wrong?
engberg 89 Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Thanks for the report. It looks like there's no good way to search when you've hidden the toolbar.
michaelcaruso 0 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I just wanted to second the issue identified by itsme213 above. I too have hidden my toolbar, and when I use the keyboard shortcut to perform a global find, nothing happens and I am unable to type a search phrase.I'll quickly recommend a possible solution to this: do what Preview does when the toolbar is hidden, drop down a box that lets the user type in a search phrase.
