(Archived) Evernote was unable to sync because this version of the application is no longer compatible with the service

I just installed the latest version from the Mac App store and this is the message that I get:

 

"Evernote was unable to sync because this version of the application is no longer compatible with the service.  Please upgrade your copy of Evernote to the latest version."

 

Can anyone tell me how to get past this?  I'm using Evernote Version 5.1.0 (401218).

Fixed my own problem...the issue seemed to be with remanents of a previous account/password still in the system.

What I did was:

 

1. logout fully

2. delete the application

3. re-install

4. login

 

No more issue and it synced fine.

An update to the latest version should fix this issue.
