(Archived) Thanks to Owyn - nice search tip for finding emails

Instead of using Saved Searches, I have 4 Evernote notes containing my past searches (People, Places, Things, and Dates). The Date notebook is the one I use the most frequently. For example - here is the description and search grammar for 1.)  a specific 7 day range and 2.) reminders for the last half of this year

1.) Notes created between May 1, 2013 and May 7, 2013

created:20130501 -created:20130508

 

2.) Reminders coming up over the next 6 months (July 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013)

created:20130701 -created:20140101

Specific Date Range

Emails sent between May 1, 2013 and May 7, 2013

source:mail.smtp created:20130501 -created:20130508

Floating Date Range

Emails sent this week and last week (Since last Sunday)

source:mail.smtp created:week-1

Further refined Date Range plus Search Term

Emails sent this month and last month, tagged with Media Bias
