(Archived) Import bookmarks from Opera browser

I understand it is possible to import your browsers bookmarks into Evernote. My browser is Opera. How do I import my Opera bookmarks into Evernote?

Some browsers can export their bookmarks into HTML format. If you do that, then you can import the resultant HTML file into your account using one of the desktop Evernote clients (Mac or Windows). Don't know whether this can be done using the Evernote web client or any of the mobile clients. For the web client, I suppose that you could open up the bookmarks HTML file, and clip it into Evernote, or copy/paste into a note in the web client.

thanks for your reply. I saved my Opera bookmarks as an HTML file on my desktop hoping to import it into Evernote. However, when you then go to the Evernote meny, File > Import, you are not given the option to import an HTML file.

Right, sorry about that. If you copy it into an Import folder, or using Explorer, drag/drop it into the Evernote, it should come in OK. Just tested both of these methods using the Windows client.
