Explain Everything Exporting to Evernote

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My query revolves around exporting the same Explain Everything project to multiple Evernote accounts from an iPad.  I have students who collaborated on an Explain Everything but needed to export it to their individual Evernote accounts.  The first student generally did not have any issues with exporting and the project showed up in their Evernote account.  The 2nd and 3rd students would export the same Explain Everything project to their own account and the screen would give a message that exporting was successful but when they went into their Evernote account the project was not  their.  If the first person did not log out of their Evernote account would that mess up  the exporting process for the rest of the group?

Thanks for any suggestions to resolve.

If some or all the students were using the same iPad I can imagine the capacity for mischief and mistakes was pretty high.  I'd suggest contacting EE support to see whether they have any suggestions...

I'm not sure what explain everything is (the app?), or how it exports things to the Evernote app, so I'm afraid I cannot help much. I think Evernote staff might not know either, and the best thing may be to contact the explain everything developer to see what they say. Basically, what Gaz said :)

From your description, I would assume that the notes were exported to the other person's Evenote account (the person who went first).

To test, log out of that account and sign into person #2's Evernote account, do the export again. Look for the notes in Evernote.

If that works, then do the same for #3. Then log into #1's account and delete the other two person's notes OR if you can't sort it out, delete all related notes and export again for them.

Hi everyone,

Some clarification: Each student was using a separate iPad, so no issues there.

In fact, I do not think that ExpainEverything is even the issue here.

Let me phrase it like this: When the students create a video and upload it to their personal account, I then need them to move that note (with the video) to a shared, Business, notebook that I have created from my Business account for each student. When they migrate the note, the video is lost.

Are there EN issues with moving notes, with an attached video, from personal to business notebooks? Note: These business notebooks are not ones that they own, but ones that they do have complete read/write access to.

Thanks.

You would probably get better results asking this in the Business forum. Also, as a Business user, don't you get access to customer support via chat? See https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/51807-best-practices-submitting-a-support-ticket/
