(Archived) I cannot sync: "Bad or missing password" error occurs

Hi Guys,

 

I cannot sync my Evernote Desktop. In my log "Bad or missing password" error occurs. How can I fix it?

 

I cannot logout and login, because I checked the option to sync before logout. When I try to logout, it shows an error and doesn't logout.

 

I have already reinstall Evernote.

 

What else can I do?

Hi Olek, welcome to the forum

Have you just updated? The latest release includes some changes to the auth system and this seems to require logging in again. It doesn't seem to be completely intuitive though.

Can you try closing Evernote via the X in the top right and then doing the following:

Press: Win + R

In the window that opens, type evernote /NoLastLogin

This should open Evernote at the login prompt, allowing you to enter your password.
