(Archived) Clip rectangle or window shortcut functional.. yet not available for use in Safari window

evernote clip to rectange or window function problem/solution for the forum.

the clip to rec/win shortcut has worked till recently. utilize it much.

functional within evernote itself yet is not viewable nor functional in safari window.

surmising software glitch or perhaps preference reset.

all other evernote shortcuts work.

any others experience this?

There's a bug in the current version that requires you to take your first screenshot by opening the Evernote Helper (elephant in the menu bar). This will be fixed with our next release.

pretty major useable function to not have available.

Yet I use this function all the time.

functional in the paid version?

I replied to another topic where I too have no Evernote helper icon in my menu bar either.
