New to Evernote simple question on deleting files

I have not been able to find any help on this topic. I want to delete a file I have in a Note and do not know how to do it. Luckily I am so new I don't have many Notes set up so when I attempted to delete a file in one of my notes the entire note deleted. The file in the Note that I want to delete is a copy of an email though I am sure that doesn't matter. Thanks for help.

What client are you using?  In the Windows client, the standard delete methods work.  IE, position cursor before file & press delete or position cursor after the file & press backspace.

I have the same problem, and use iPad/Safari. How do I delete a note in Penultimate?
