(Archived) Super-slow window maximize on Mac

Hi there,

 

I'm using Evernote 5.0.7 on my beefy Macbook Pro, and it's fast and awesome except for one thing:  quite often, after hiding the window, when I maximize it slides open at a snail's pace.

 

None of my other apps have this issue, so it's not some sort of odd maximize setting that I've messed up.

 

Any idea what's going on, and whether there's a workaround (other than just never minimizing the window)?

Are you holding shift when you minimize/maximize?

Ah, brilliant, Jackolicious!  I had ill-advisedly used the shortcut shift-ctrl-f.  Changing that to ctrl-apple-f did the trick.  Thank you for your quick and helpful reply
