dspapps 6
In the last prerelease Windows client version the MHT export was faulty with missing images, etc. I reported it as a bug. However in version 4.6.5.8200 it appears to be still faulty but in a different way. Repro: 1) Create notebook with a few notes, with at least one being a PDF2) Right click on notebook, and export to MHT3a) Open the MHT file in IE8 - Cannot open any PDF, browser tries to save it as a TMP file3b) Open the MHT file in Chrome (v26) - It never successfully opens, just tries to load Bug reported. Root cause - poor management of testing. Link to comment
dspapps 6
Not fixable I guess. From support: "In Evernote, we offerthe most possible array of exporting options that might help you fill yourneeds. In this case, if you would like to use the export feature for web browsercompatibility, consider exporting to HTML instead of MHT. HTML is usually thebest option, as you can open it in any browser, whereas MHT format only worksin Internet Explorer. This is the reason Chrome has issues opening them. " In my support ticket I said the problem was with both IE and Chrome. I also reminded the support guy of that. There has to be room for improvement here somewhere. Link to comment
dspapps 6
"You shouldn't encounter any issue exporting to HTML files like the article ipreviously shared (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/25369/export-your-evernote-notes-in-html-or-mht-format/) shows." I guess the official answer is to avoid MHT. But I want to use it, the function is shown as available. It suits our needs best. IE is our corporate browser. Using information on 3rd party sites as justification for avoiding a particular Evernote function is a little wacky in my book. Link to comment
