(Archived) Global keyboard shortcut CTRL-Command C fails

Harvey

Idea

Today, I downloaded OS X 10.8.3 and also Evernote Version 5.0.7 (400993). CTRL-Command C no longer enables me to do a global clipping of material. Changing the key command in EN preferences does not help. I've re-downloaded EN and have re-started the computer, all to no avail. I'm running 10.8.3 on a new Mac Mini. I don't know if this is an OS X 10.8.3 problem, a Evernote problem, or some combination of the two. Can anybody please help? Thanks.

Update: CTRL-Command C started working again just as mysteriously as it had stopped. So my problem is "solved."

I had another problem with Evernote, whereby opening Evernote led to a statement that my notes would have to be reloaded and indexed. This took a couple minutes, and after that was complete, CTRL-Command C once again did not work. What got it to work (which I now believe is the way I got it to work earlier) is clicking on the Evernote helper in the top window bar of my Mac and choosing the "Clip rectangle or window" icon. This gave the familiar crossbars. I selected a rectangle at random, then clicked my mouse and subsequently hit delete to erase the unwanted clip. Command-period then closed the helper window. After doing this, the command CTRL-Command C began working like a charm. I'm glad Evernote will fix this problem in a future update.
