(Archived) Note Password Protection and encription

i am setting up a database system for a client for her medical practice

she needs to share files with her business partner
my client uses OSx her business partner uses Windows

 

they need the notes to be encripted for sending across the net to each other

as well as each patients file (note) to be password protected for provacie reasons

is this possible at all or do i need to look at a diffrent package?

Please search the board on security and/or encryption. This has been discussed a lot already.

If your client is in the U.S., you may want to check into HIPAA requirements. I'm kind of thinking Evernote does not meet them.
