(Archived) Evernote in a Mixed OS Household

GWPotter

Idea

My spouse uses Windows7 and that is not going to change soon.  I use Mac.  We both use iOS devices.  What I want to know is how the Evernote Premium service deals with households such as ours.

#1  Can we both share/use a single Evernote account?

#2  Can we login and use a single Premium account on our PCs?

#3  Can we both login on our iOS devices?

#4  Is it possible to send links to other folks to individual files in our Evernote account as we do with items in DropBox?

(1) Yes, but I recommend individual accounts.

(4) Yes

If one of you gets a Premium account and the other has a Free one, then you have spent the same amount of money, but bought yourself some privacy. The Premium users can share notebooks and give the ability to modify things in it, so from the Free user's perspective it is almost the same as if it was their own notebook (there are relatively minor differences).

Basically, you can use an account (or several) on as many devices as you want, regardless of your OS. The only thing I would caution you about is having the same account open and being modified at the same time on two devices. As Evernote syncs every few minutes, it will inevitably encounter sync conflicts as it comes across notes that have been updated.
