(Archived) Viewing a note marks it as updated?

I've confirmed that the "modern" UI app will mark any note that you open as "updated".  This means that if I look at an old note, it now bubbles to the top of all of my notes (I sort by updated).

 

On no other platform does it do this.

 

For my workflow, this is really suboptimal... Is this something that will be corrected shortly?
